There are Shingles, and Then There are SHINGLES...

...and you do not want the latter!

No, you do not.

Trust me on this one.

For if you wondered where I have been, I just had a rugged battle with the latter version, the one with the capital S-H-I-N-G-L-E-S, and I am finally coming up for air.

I thought I was better a while back, but there was a second phase.  Oh, yes.  This is a sneaky, pesky pest, indeed.

My new BFFs have been salve and my over-sized t-shirts which have been my wearing apparel and saving grace for going on two months.

It has been one wild and crazy ride.

A runaway train which has come to a welcome halt.

I actually started healing from Shingles...

But had an allergic reaction to my shampoo (not the kind pictured below, but a new kind)!!!

Can you say itch?

I sure can!

Doctor's Orders:

No stress.

Translation =  no computer, no meetings, no news, limited phone calls.

The good news?

I lost weight.

I had lots of prayer and Bible Study time.

I did some dreaming about a project we have underway that has to do with the lantern in the last post.

And I caught up on some much-needed rest...

While changing my diet and vitamin routine from this...

To this...

I also cancelled all engagements for two months, but I did manage to make it to my niece's wedding!

It was so very, very sweet...

And it was fun seeing my family members who live half way across the earth.  Additionally we saw Mr. Magpie's cousin and his darling wife which was also a good thing.

I am behind on everything, and I am still having a hard time sitting for more than a little bit at a time.

And even if I wanted to sit, I was monkeying around and dropped my IPAD and smashed the glass on it. Oops! Hence, I have to borrow Mr. Magpie's work computer if I even want to go online. Bummer!

So if I am MIA you now understand why.  I will try and get by to visit you during the holidays.  I miss reading your blogs and blogging, but I plan to return!  Got lots to share. :-)

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and will have Happy Holidays ahead!
