Not only did I agree to chew the proverbial fat with Eddie Bluelights of Clouds and Silver Linings , but I allowed my mother to cut my bangs for the photo! What was I thinking??? Argh!

It is a lovely pastime, blogging and a good way to meet others.
As I put on Eddie's post, I love collecting shiny things too and could easily have called myself Magpie but that would have made me Maggie Magpie! LOL!

I do the same thing with books that you do with china - show other's collections to DH and say "see!". And I see we share a favorite writer. Eudora Welty is one of my very favorites. Thanks for your note about my new love. Charlie. Isn't he just the type to charm me. Reserved, and eyes to melt your heart. He is a Beagle crossed with a King Charles Spaniel. 3 years old but an old soul. A rescue dog and I think he truly found me.

I found you on Cote de Texas' sidebar... the picture of the raintree drew me right in.... never heard it called a sweetheart tree before... but so loved them growing up in S. La.
Came back to reread it again tonight and well... I mean, you got me with the 'Mom cut my bangs" comment.
So all that is to say.... will visit you often now... (it will take a while to read about how it is that you married your hubs 3 times, and other things you mentioned.)...But here's the bottom line.
This is the loveliest, wittiest, most tender, funny, sweet, and uplifting,inspiring exchange I've ever read online... so the truth is, I now have 2 new blogs to read... and a place to recommend to a family member suffering from depression... Wow!

Hello Shelia~What a delightful interview. You certainly have a way with words. I had a chuckle about the "bang" trim. My sis and I sported the same bangs...compliments of our mom too, lol. The best was the "bouffant" hairdo we had for every holiday, ooooh the memories.

I'm finally getting around to decking the halls of my home.
we'll be cutting our Christmas tree from the backyard this weekend when my college boy is home. That's sure way to get us in a festive mood.
