Bless the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with honour and majesty...



Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment...



Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain...



Who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters...



Who maketh the clouds his chariot...



Who walketh upon the wings of the wind...



...I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live...



I will sing praise to my God while I have my being...



My meditation of Him shall be sweet...



I will be glad in the LORD. :-)



I thought I would share these beautiful images with you today along with one of my favorite Psalms. I love Spiritual Sunday because it allows everyone the opportunity to "dwell on those things that are lovely." As for me, I think worshipping the Lord and marveling at His creation is the perfect way to spend the day (to spend every day for that matter)! :-)

The building caputred in the last sky shot is Florida Southern College's Annie Pfeiffer Chapel, designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright. From what we were told, the students affectionately dubbed the detail on top of the chapel -- God's bicycle rack. ;-) The other building whose image is reflected in the pool of the FSC Waterdome is the college's administration building, also designed by Wright. It's truly am amazing campus and is affiliated with the Methodist Church.

Mr. Magpie and I spent nearly two hours one weekend photographing the architectural details of the campus, and I plan to share it with you on a future Outdoor Wednesday. For now, I'm happy to share this colorful sky walk in Central Florida where the sky is often this very shade of blue. God truly is the master architect and artist, and if this isn't proof positive, I'm not sure what is.

In this last shot, contrast the color of the Central Florida sky with this East Coast sky shot. I love the color that God painted this sky on this particular day. This is the area near the Cape and Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Magpie took it with his Blackberry. If you look faaaaaaaar awaaaaaaaaay to the right, you can see the Space Center in the distance. It is a fascinating place to visit with the added benefit of a very pristine, unpsoiled beach nearby...



All of these shots of the heavens put me in mind of an old hymn that we sang frequently in church as children. I always enjoyed singing this and thinking about how magnificent God is, and He is that and worthy to be praised...
