Psalm Sunday: How Excellent Is Thy Name!

Psalm 8:1

O LORD, our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

When I first saw this tree, this scripture came to mind, and I was immediately reminded of what a splendid God we serve. His majesty and power are beyond our comprehension, and the whole of creation points to His glory, just as this lovely tree points to the heavens. Lord, may Your name be magnified throughout the earth and heavens because You are worthy to be praised! How excellent is Your name!

Warmly,

Mrs, Magpie (Sheila)

A nice shot taken Sheila. Just look at the tree grows and kinda extends to the heaven!

I do think it is the perfect image for the verse.

He really is an amazing God and worthy to be praised!

What a great multi post! I love all your thrifty treasures, and especially the breakfast, lunch, supper plate. Your trees and other plants are beautiful.

You know, it's funny; just earlier today I was thinking that I hadn't pulled out my bunny on a stick since the bunny on a stick party, and then I saw yours had hopped onto your tablescape. I may have to put that little guy to use again.

The Psalms are my favorite! Thanks so much for leaving such nice comments on my blog! Btw, that little striped lizard was very shiny - I tried to get a better photo to highlight his almost metallic coloration, but he slipped away faster than lightening.
