Pink Saturday: Fun In The Bath...

Today, is Pink Saturday at my sweet friend Beverly's blog, How Sweet The Sound, and I always have a lot of fun today with the pinkies. Speaking of which, I hope my pinky friend Gina at Purdy Wallcovering had fun on her birthday this Friday. You meet the nicest people here on Pink Saturday, and Gina is one of those sweethearts! Happy Birthday, Gina! :-)



I'm a big believer in having fun in at least one room in your house, and in this case, it's the bathroom. Apparently, Patrick and Sponge Bob agree...



This bathroom was painted (pale green and light blue with whimsical stencils in a darker blue) by a previous owner for her young son, and I left it that way for the time being, particularly since we have several young Munchkins who visit us from time to time and two young-at-heart "oldsters" who live here. Note, the colors are off due to my inability to shoot indoors! ;-)


But in terms of pink, if you look in this bag... hey, go ahead and be nosey! ;-)...



You'll spot something rather bright with color, particularly pinks...



And it certainly is wiggly and jiggly and downright zig-zaggedy...



Apparently, the fish are curious, too...



It's drawing a bit of a crowd. Well, don't be shy, pull it out and see for yourself...



Eureka! It's a hand towel I found at TJ Maxx last summer, and it's definitely not shy about color or design (which I'm sure the lighting in these pictures is helping to make EVEN brighter)...



And here's its friend, who's a wee bit tamer in a stripe. Just a wee bit. ;-) They have similar towels this summer at Marshall's and the Maxx. I'd say they whisper summer, but they are actually shouting for joy in their bright watermelon pink garb...



And here's the bath towel, donning bubbles (okay, polka dots) in pink and other colors...



Also last summer, I found some cute little washcloths that had polka dots in these same bright colors to match the hand and bath towels...



And I can't resist a bright melamine tray. You can use these types of trays for a party on the patio or for a towel party in the bath...



This rattan sunburst seems to like his bright little friends...



And he agrees with me that the lights are not our friends in these pictures (even Mr. Magpie says the color looks weird in these shots, kind of brownish)...



Mr. Turtle doesn't seem to mind as he's just chilling on his shell, with his RayBans protecting his peepers...



[Note to Shelia: My finger is in that picture, but I guess that doesn't qualify me as a Bathroom Diva quite yet, does it???]

Let's go to where the light is better, where there's lots of natural light. Right through this door is the other part of the bath which...



Oops! Excuse me, madam! I didn't realize this part was occupied!
