Pillow Talk

A couple of my friends (Janie at Southern Lagniappe and Diane at A Picture is Worth a 1000 Words) have posted favorite sayings they have around their homes. I started thinking I have some on Christmas pillows. To see them, we first have to fight our way through the closets to find them all.

I cannot believe I'm going to let you peep in my closets, but I am. So put on your hard hat for safety's sake. Actually, a Santa hat will do nicely. ;-)

Kinda dark in here, isn't it? I decided to put things in these plastic see-through bins so I can store it all together and see what's in the boxes. I spot a few pillows in here...



Now let's peep in this other closet. This is mainly the ornament stash, but there might be a stray pillow or two.



Nope. Nothing in here, but us Christmas ornaments.



Let's mosey on back to the other room for the photo shoot.

The quilt in the following pictures was on the shelf at Wal-Mart one year and managed to leap blindly into my basket. It's very graphic, and the perfect quilt to use at Christmas on a table. I thought it would make a nice backdrop for this photo shoot.

The little cat pillow I got in recent years and was a total impulse buy. I love cats, and this one was too cute for me to resist. I hope Debbie and the other cat lovers might appreciate it...



This pillow I bought as a joke one year for Mr. Magpie who was griping about too many Christmas parties and not enough sleep...



This pillow I bought years ago with the preceding pillow, and it was in the days of the "Just say NO!" drug prevention programs.

These are a series of little pillows I found at K-Mart and other discount stores for very reasonable prices.

First we have Mr. Snowman...

Oh, and another Santa...



There appears to be a theme here. ;-)

And I've saved the best for last...



Looking at all those pillows, especially that last one, has made me work up an appetite! So I dug around in some boxes... OOPS!... I mean put on my apron and got busy...



Into the Suzy-Bake oven they go. Batch after Batch. Then out comes...



A snowlady with tea cups...



A snowman with candy...



And a little snowbaby with his head through a cookie...



And a whole plate of snowy goodness...



And speaking of plates, would you care for a plate of joy and noels? I believe I'll help myself...
