Uncle!
There. I've said it.
I have got to peel myself away from the computer and force myself to decorate. So, I apologize profusely for what I have to offer today for Trash to Treasaure (because I love Diane and this day and everyone who participates). Those of you who saw them, all thought how organized our closets were??? Well take a look at what I'm about to show you. It bears a striking resemblance to an explosion in a spaghetti factory. And it's not our closets. It's our library with the stuff from our closets! If we're ever going to have Christmas, I've got my work cut out for me. A friend came by today, and we went to lunch and...then I blogged... and then another friend called about something... and then... and then... you know the drill. Thankfully, Mr. Magpie is not here right now. 'Cause if he were, he'd see the Christmas closets covering the library...
Notice that even the angels look bedraggled and confused. Then there's this...
And this... Whoah! Wait just a minute, this was that above! See what I mean, total confusion abounds...

And even though this looks rather neat...
It's what's inside those boxes (which resemble the Leaning Tower of Pisa) that will be all over every surface in this room...
There is not a chair in this library without something in it...
So I am chaining myself to that room until I get at least one thing done. I'm concentrating on the tree, and I plan to come up for air on Wednesday at some point. Thankfully I'm going to cheat on a post for Wednesday and "borrow" a 14-foot Christmas tree and the trimmings from a friend of mine. I went to a party at her completely decorated Christmassy home and took pictures of her Christmas goodies. Mercifully, she agreed to let me show them to you on Wednesday. If not, here is what I would have been showing in terms of my garland for a Christmas garland show and tell...
It's sad, isn't it? So Diane, forgive me for not coming to the party with anything but trash bags and what could be treasure if I got off the computer and made it so! I guess this could actually be a two-part post where I show you a "trashed" look this week and a "treasured" tree the next! ;-) The good news is... lots and lots and LOTS of shiny objects I only get to see once a year. Good morning Sheila, I was forced out of bed because a little black poodle that is driving me crazy. I am really laughing at your mega Christmas stuff. My house looks like a bomb hit the Christmas boxes. It is all over the place with a 9 foot table covered in mass confusion. LOL. Not just Christmas but laundry folded and not put away on the couch. sighing BIG!!! Oh, and lets not forget last night's dishes. something I never do, is leave the dishes. I am falling apart here. Oh, lets not forget the kicker, I still can't find the missing deer for the mantel. IT IS NOT SMALL!! Wow, I got that off my chest, now I better get busy and do something about all of this mess. You wouldn't believe this but I am a neat freak!!!

Sheila, Cute post! My decorations are up and finished, but my garage still looks like your library! LOL! By the time I put the boxes away, Christmas will be over and it will be time to take them back out for another year's storage! LOL! Oh well! :)

Hi, everyone! Up for air! Thanks for the moral support! I am going to make my blog rounds later in the day, but I have almost gotten it done. I havent' tackled the garland yet, but the tree looks pretty good, except for the fact that I decorated it and didn't find the light chord so it shall be a lightless tree. It's got so many ornaments on it, I'm hoping no one will notice. ;-)
Now, the clean up.

Shelia...I had to stop by again and see if Tommy was here....I got this crazy idea that he may have been headed your way...when he was looking at my Blog I think he may have spotted Annie...please check that she is home..Tommy may have fallen in love! For all we know they could be headed to Las Vegas to The Chapel! I am so sorry that I have had to give up counting fabric for awhile ...I have to find Tommy...or we may have 100's of little Annie Elves running around here!
Jane, Annie is missing! I'll be sure and check the house and see if they might have snuck off together! Can you even imagine how bad they would be?!

I am so busy at work I'm hoping that Santa and/or his elves come over and get my house together. I was really hoping to deck the halls, since it's our first year in the shorehouse, but...so...much...work! With any luck I'll be able to jet out of work a little early on Friday (and p.s. I don't even work on Fridays! Grrr...) to hang the garland that's rolled up in a ball un my front porch since last week.
I guess this was more a "rant" than a "comment"?! :-)
