Matthew 6:9-13
After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
What security and comfort I find in that prayer the Lord Jesus taught us to pray! I can't add a thing to it other than to hope that reading it and hearing it sung is as much of a blessing to you as it is to me! :-)

It's wonderful to have you back. What on earth were you doing up at 3 AM that you came by to visit and leave a sweet comment. I thought I was an early bird, but I'm not that early--not even the worms are up at that hour!
I always put a spiritual quote up on Sundays, but today I ventured out and did the Pledge of Allegiance. Yes, those are the Target bird salt and pepper shakers on my heading...good eye! I liked your idea about everyone that has them putting them in their headings...you should start that up! Have a blessed day!

I remember saying this prayer when I was a little girl and my Nana would take me to church with her. When I came back to the Lord as an adult I was amazed at how this prayer had stayed in my memory and my spirit more than 20years later, God new all along that I would come back to Him.

The Lord's prayer always brings comfort, Sheila. Yesterday was a sad anniversary for me as I lost my Dad on that date 35 years ago. I spent the day with my Mom remembering him.
Hi, ladies so glad you came to visit! And Pat, I'm so sorry yesterday was a sad day for you. There are days like that for me, too, and I will be rolling along and realize that I'm feeling funny... inevitably, it will be the date of one of my loved one's passing. My mother dies in May, my dad in August, and my grandmother and FIL in October. Several friends died in the spring, so I get kind of weepy in March. Sending you much love and many hugs, Pat...
