Blue Monday: Blue Skies and Other Shiny Blue Objects...

Today is another wonderful Blue Monday and time to celebrate all things blue over at Smiling Sally's where our hostess Sally, the Queen of Blue, and her court are waiting to greet us! :-)

First, let's take a stroll down the streets of St. Augustine under a blue morning sky...



We'll take a turn down Charlotte Street, passing under a bevy of flags including a blue one...



And hop over to Aviles until we see the blue sign of Moultrie Creek Studios...



Peeping through the blue window pane of the shop, I spy a white egret...



And through another blue window pane, I spy some folk pottery...



Let's go on in and see what we can see, like this blue folk pottery teapot...



Look Debbie! Look Jeanne! (And any other kitty and gator lovers out there!) It's a yellow kitty riding a gator across the lid -- ride 'em, cowboy!...



They have lots of things in this shop, but my camera isn't cooperating. In the mean time, let me show you a sassy blue teapot Mr. Magpie bought me from there for my birthday several years ago, a teapot created by the owner of the shop...



It's sporting a bevy of birds on its lid and handle...



Canaries, parrots, bluebirds, redbirds, orangebirds (it is Florida, you know)...



Each more whimsical than the next...



Kind of like bloggers in their infinite variety...



And when it pops its top...



The inside is painted a nice shade of green...



Yep, I think it's a pretty nice pot for a magpie...



And this little rooster, while not blue, was another Mr. Magpie present from there...



"Wait just a minute," says Mr. Rooster...



"Look closely at my tail...



"Yes, right there, sister...



"If that's not blue in my tail, I don't know what is!"

And of course, Mr. Rooster is right, and if you look at his wing, there's a spot of blue there, too...



For that matter, Mr. Rooster kind of looks like he might be the first cousin of the rooster in the window...




A rooster who has his tail feathers in a huff because we have to bid him, "Adios."

Sorry, fella, but we have to get a move on to see all of the other wonderful blueness at Smiling Sally's.
