I have no snow to offer you...
I've only flowers fair...
The brilliant orange Hibiscus...
Or an Iris for your hair...
Greetings on this wonderful Outdoor Wednesday. Thank you for dropping by to visit. I'm sorry I'm snow-deprived and don't have any lovely snow scenes to offer (trust me, it's so cold today it feels as if it could snow), but I hope you've enjoyed the small offereing of flowers left blooming here in our nook of Florida. The bouganvilla seems to be the most prolific during all seasons. I hope our cold snap the next two nights doesn't hurt them.
For lots of other outdoor scenes, please hop on over to A Southern Daydreamer. That's my friend Susan's blog, and I know she would love to have you join us in the garden for the day. If you'd like to share your own garden or some other outdoor spots, please consider joining us in the Wednesday fun. You'll need to hook up to Susan to do that. :-)

Warmly,
Mrs. Magpie (Sheila)

Hi Sheila,
Your world is so similar to what I see here in Southern California! Enjoy...
Love that first photo :0)
Happy Outdoor Wednesday!
I see your bathroom diva joined in on the fun!Snow deprived? I told my husband this evening when we took the dogs out that if it was going to be this chilly, we ought to at least get some snow to go with it!
Your hibiscus is a beautiful orange color... and I wouldn't mind an iris for my hair (if you have an extra one)...
Thanks for sharing your flowers...I am ready to see some in my yard... I would ALMOST settle for a dandelion! (shh don't tell my husband...he hates them)
love the pretty flowers, just makes me itch for planting season!
How nice to see some beautiful flowers and dream about Spring!
Thanks Sheila!
Good Evening, Ladies! Thank you so much for dropping by tonight and your sweet comments.
Ellen, there is almost nothing blooming with the exception of the bouganvilla, but there were a few scattered flowers here and there.
Susan, I can't keep Annie away from pictures. ;-) And after you dropped by, I decided to add my other little friend to show people what kind of crazy weather we've been having... though it's very cold tonight. I have water dripping outside in case we dip below freezing. I think that might be tomorrow night. Our neighbor at our place in St. Augustine grows Hibiscus.
Margaret, I envy all of the beautiful flowers from the real gardeners on this circuit! :-)
Pat, you are welcome, sweet friend!
Sweet Dreams to all of you!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Hi Sheila...what a cute post, I loved your rhymes, so creative!! I've always wanted to see bouganvilla (other than in a gardening book) and I didn't see it in your pics (probably because I really don't know what it looks like! :-) I really just love the name!!! Reminds me of Villa Villa Koola from Pippi in the South Seas!
Beautiful!
xoxo

Hi Snow Deprived Sheila,
Your words and pictures are a delight, as always.
Those little pink flowers are so beautiful.
Thanks for your visit and comment.
Alfazema
Good Morning, Everyone! Woke up to real cold today! Brrrrr...
Janie, peep through that lattice in the second picture after you enlarge it. That hot pink flowering plant on the fence is bouganvilla! LOL! about the name. :-)
Kat, thanks so much! I loved your rose you featured, and like you, I love the beach, too. I'm so glad you're feeling better. Stay warm!
Bernie, I'm afraid our yards don't look as luch as they normally do, but we do have some color! Washington State is gorgeous as evidenced by each and every one of your photographs! :-)
CC, I loved visiting you this morning! It's so nice to "meet" you, and I'm afraid your husband is cold today... it dropped last night, and will be colder today! Hope he brought his warm clothes to the Sunshine State. :-) Thanks for your sweet comments.
April, the grass is a bit spotty right now. LOL! But today might have taken care of the green. We dropped pretty far down in temp last night and will go lower tonight. We are praying it doesn't hurt the citrus. I'm down in Central Florida today. :-)
Bo, LOL! I'm afraid the Celtic Muse got me. ;-)
Sandy, will it really be that long? Well, there's always Outdoor Wednesdays. Some of these ladies have amazing photographs. My look trifling by comparison, but I try. :-)
Lisa, LOL! Thanks, my friend. Glad to cheer! :-)
Thank all of you for dropping by to visit. I really appreciat it, and love reading your comments. You always make me smile! :-)
XO,
Sheila :-) :-) :-)
It IS cold today in Florida! It's days like this that make me more appreciative of the majority of our days--sunny ones.
Alfezema! Thanks for visiting all of the way from Portugal! Loved your photos!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Sally, me, too! Thanks for the visit! :-)
XO,
Sheila :-)
Oh...to see a fresh flower! Everything is dead here up North, nothing but twigs, brown leaves, and bare branches :(
Thanks for the lovely touch of color this morning! I needed it:-)
Good morning Sheila, I love your clever poem. It is nice to see something blooming somewhere. This has been a cold and snowy winter so far. We love it because it is new to us. We were both raised in Miami and lived in Fl for most of our lives. I remembered snow in MI up until we moved to Fl. when I was nine. I loved snow when I was a kid. I guess I am going back to my childhood in all this snow. My daughter and my grands are having a blast. Sally said it was 43 degrees where she lives. Brrrr. For us, that is warming up. LOL.
Have a wonderful day in the sunshine state.
Hugs...Jeanne
Oh, I would love to have flowers instead of the snow. We won't have flowers until the middle of May. I am headed south soon.
I am so ready to have flowers again here. Yours are beautiful...I always love hibiscus. Their colors are so pretty!
Just catching up; I've been out of the game a few days!
I'll take your flowers and send you snow. How about that? ;-)
I'm so envious of your Florida weather. What gorgeous photos!
what no snow? i feel deprived... i guess i will just have to smile at all your pretty flowers instead~
Sheila, I came back to show you a new smiley face. My grandson just showed me while he was watching me post a comment. Kids are so much smarter than we are sometimes. Here goes. ^_^
I know you smile alot so have fun.
Hugs...Jeanne

Hello dear Sheila--I love your flowers, they're just what I need on this bitter cold day in NC. In my heart I am a summer person and would be happy to have it warm and sunny with flowers blooming all year long!
I love snow scenes but its nice to see flowers too. No snow around our place - just flowers. It's warm too. Right now it's only 71 but it will warm up as the day progresses. I'd like a little colder weather myself. After all, it's winter.
Charlotte
Hi Sheila
Oh what beautiful pictures...we don't need to look at snow pics from Florida. Price of orange juice would be...comes to mind..*s*..
Lovely pictures. I love the dolly in the tree..
have a great day
enjoy
Judi
I enjoyed my visit to see you this morning and escape our sunny, yet wintery scene outside my window.
Cecelia is darling and I can see why she is a special gift in your life.
Your flowers are beautiful. I try to grow hibiscus in the summer as a reminder of our fun vacations to Southern California and Hawaii. They are so gorgeous as if God hand painted each one:)
Enjoy your day!
Hey friend!
I so enjoyed looking at your flowers still blooming! Not to worry...I have no snow pictures to offer either. Today the temp rises to 70 degrees here in Texas.
Happy Wednesday!
Lovely flowers Shelia. They make me think of spring :>)
Hi Sheila! Your little poem was so cute. It really looks warm there, but it isn't, is it? ;) Your flowers are just lovely. Hope you are having a wonderful day!
Oh, it's so nice to see the flowers. I can't wait till spring!
Have a good day!
Donna
Oh....you poor thing...."wack".....we just threw a snowball at the screen for you!
Keep on showing lovely pictures...it keeps things happy here!!
LOL - Karla & Karrie
What happy pictures. I love the iris, they just remind me of spring and make me smile! Kathy
Hi Sheila,
I am so envious! You have flowers! I really can't wait to participate in this but it will have to wait til summer - my yard is sadly lacking right now! It is SOOO cold here in Georgia! I am beginning to think that I brought the cold weather here from Washington.
I agree with Susan - we should at least have snow to go with it! Some snow days with days off from work sound heavenly!
Your hibiscus is beautiful! I really can't wait to plant some. Thanks for the beautiful show of color!
Thanks for the sweet comments you gave about the project I am making for my grandbaby. I appreciate your kind words!
Blessings,
Kymber
Oh... with 2 feet of snow on the ground your photos are like a breath of fresh air!!!
Love these photos!!
Happy Day!
blessings,
kari & kijsa
Hi, Folks! Well, it looks like those may be the last blooms we'll see for a bit. It's going down below freezing tonight all the way down into the state. We're joining the rest of you in the Deep Freeze!
Rachael -- I hope our green doesn't turn brown overnight!
Jeanne -- If it's that cold in South Florida, pity us! I'm in Central Florida tonight, and it's supposed to drop below freezing. I hate it because of the citrus. Mr. Magpie is holding down the fort up in the northeast corner!
Terrie -- I was going to plant pansies, but I'm thinking better of it now. It's pretty cold even for pansies!
Darlene -- The hibiscus belong to our neighbor. I "borrowed" them for the pictures. :-)
Jen -- We are going to be plenty cold tonight... wait till we warm up, and then we can swap some degrees! :-)
Susan -- As I type the temps are dropping, so don't be jealous. It's brrrrrrrrr cold right now.
Ms. Moon -- My flowers are smiling back. They will be too cold to smile in the morning! :-)
Jeanne -- Thanks! That is sooooooo cute! LOL! *_*
Muse -- I'm laughing because I have you in triplicate! Love it!
Kathy -- You are more than welcome! :-)
Lorrie -- In my heart, I am, too, and my body is shivering as the temp drops. We don't know what to do down here. LOL! :-)
Charlotte -- I'm glad you've got warmth because the temp is falling rapidly here. We've got a major cold wave hitting us tonight! Brrrrrr!
Judi -- I hope the juice survives! It's mighty cold! Annie sends love...
Beth -- It may be cold in Utah, but the warmth just radiates from your post! :-)
Daphine! Send us some 70 degree temps! LOL! It's bitter here tonight. I'm shivering as I type.
Carol, the wonderful thing about bouganvilla is that they bloom pretty much continuosly year round. :-)
Ms. Tee, when I took the pics it was a tiny bit nippy, but now it is COLD. I want to send it back to the North Pole! Global warming? I think not! Not if it's this cold in Florida. LOL!
Donna, thanks! You, too! :-)
Karla and Karrie -- Ouch! That snowball got me! LOL! I'm throwing it back because I don't want this cold here! ;-)
Kathy -- I really love the iris, too! It's my favorite. I adore white flowers. :-)
Kymber -- You are more than welcome, and I just loved that precious book you're making. And is is bitter cold here tonight. I have to go out and drip the faucets. Don't want them to freeze.
Chrissy -- I'm so glad you enjoyed them. I just hope they survive the night. We've got a freeze threatening.
Kari and Kijsa -- Blessings right back to you.
Have a lovely evening and stay warm!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Beautiful Outdoor Wednesday post, Sheila!
I came by to tell you I posted the photo meme, a little while ago. It was fun!
We managed to get the snow this week. Having more snow this winter than we usually do but it never amounts to much. If it's going to snow I want SNOW!!
Beautiful flowers photos. All here is brown. :-) Longing for warmer days.
Thank you for stopping by my blog.
Hugs
Patti c
Hi Shelia,
Love your inspirational flower photos!
Can't wait for some warmer weather here.
Diane
Hi Sheila! Oh,such beautiful flowers and such a little cutie there, too! Aren't you glad you didn't ask me a French question today? Sorry...I could go on and on...and do...about anything French! lol...Debbie
Sheila
OK, I am going out of doors with you as I freeze here in NY! Thanks for the trip!
Good Evening, Ladies!
Pat, I saw your wonderful post tonight! Loved it, and you've done a marvelous job with your bathroom! I pray you feel better soon. :-)
Patti, it was my pleasure, and I hope you get the snow you want! :-)
Diane, we have two nights of cold, and I'm ready for it to warm up! I've been outside turning on my spickets, and I think we might have officially hit freezing. On the way to Publix earlier, it was 36 degrees and dropping! Stay warm in Mississippi!
Debbie, I loved your answer! If I had more French, I would impose on you again! LOL! I can't thank you enough! :-)
Tara, we're freezing with you tonight! I'm debating whether I should drip faucets inside or not. I have them going outside. We're officially Frozen in Florida!
Sending out love to all of you and hoping we all stay nice and toasty tonight!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Snow? You want snow? You can have ours, but you better hurry... it's melting as I speak.
Love the shot through the lattice work. Great framing!
Thanks, Mojo, it's not you, but I try! :-)
XO,
Sheila
